Mary Woodruff's love for dancing can only be rivaled by her love of teaching. Her laid-back and honest style allows students to learn advanced concepts without feeling under scrutiny. Her friendly personality gets her students feeling comfortable while jamming out during social dances. Freddie Mercury, Billie Holiday, and the Nicholas Brothers are just a few of her heros. On her free time she tells bad jokes and cooks the best damned chili ever.

A zesty undertone to Iowa swing's local flavor, Sarah believes in rocking out and has been doing so in a swinging way since 2001. The most important thing both on the dance floor and in the classroom, she says, is to love what you're doing and let it all hang out. When teaching Lindy, Charleston and Jazz Dance, Sarah focuses on the spirit of the actions and the vibrant connections between dancers. She now resides with her husband and dog in a duplex.
