Introducing the Collegiate Jitterbug Championships at the Heartland Swing Festival! The CJC is the absolute best opportunity for amateur and collegiate lindy hoppers to compete against dancers from all over the nation!
Overall Collegiate Jitterbug Champions!
All participants will gain points for competiting. The two competitors (one Lead and one Follow) with the most points at the end of the weekend will be declared the Collegiate Jitterbug Champions and receive the CJC Jitterbug Trophies!
Dancers' Choice Award!
Winners receive passes to the New HSF 2013. YOU decide the winner.
AnySwing Goes Competition
This division is one of a kind. Any style of swing is acceptable. It will be danced to a variety of tempos. Prelims will be held on Friday night. Finals will be held on Saturday which will be a no holds barred Jam format. It combines the traditional couples contest with an all out street jam!
Slow Groove
Not quite Lindy, not quite blues. This challenging division will show off dancers that are diverse and creative and know how to move their bodies to slow groovy music.
Jack N' Jill
JJs are always a popular event. Leads and Follows will be randomly coupled and will be judged on their ability to lead and follow.

Amateur Leaders and Followers will be randomly coupled with our instructors and will be judged on their ability to lead and follow. We are so excited for this new contest and it is sure to be a ton of fun! Space is limited so sign up soon!
Solo Vintage Jazz
This catergory returns this year. This is all about having fun! Show off your best solo moves. Charleston, Black Bottom, Truckin', Turkey Trot, etc. Whatever you got, we want to see it!
Same Gender Strictly Swing
This division gives dancers the opportunity to show off their skills in a whole new way. Dancing with a person of the same gender opens up a world of possibilities and creativity. This is a Swing division and all music and dancing will be that of the Swing genre.

The most exciting division the weekend has to offer! Teams from all over compete for the Cutters' Cup.
