About Jon and Mandy

Jon Tigert is an avid performer, instructor, and student of Lindy Hop, Charleston, and Balboa and other vernacular Jazz dances. Jon was born in Nashville, TN, and grew up a musician and soccer player. After leaving for college, he discovered classic Jazz and Lindy Hop. Since then, Jon has done everything in his power to immerse himself in the dance, it's music, and it's history. He currently lives in Indianapolis where he is slowly finishing school, but mainly dancing, teaching, and performing the dance he loves to do. Most notably, he recently won the Amateur Showdown at Midwest Lindyfest, and is the previous Collegiate Jitterbug Champion. Lastly, it is because of Jon that the "Now for Something Completely Different Jack and Jill" is now called the "Pants off Dance Off" at The Rhythm Is Jumpin'. He emphasizes having fun with dancing above all else, with a strong focus on technique and musicality.

Mandy Spencer was once just a shy girl from Indiana, and then she met Lindy Hop and all of a sudden, became addicted. Ever since that day she has been fighting evil with her infamous swivels, and shining personality. Mandy has won competitions all over the midwest and beyond, including previous Collegiate Jitterbug Championships, and Midwest Lindyfest. She values fun, easygoing dancing, and spreading her infectious smile everywhere she goes
